PRACTICE
A Masters graduate of Edinburgh College of Art & Berlin University, Clare Slifer has gained a breadth of experience working nationally and internationally in both commercial and residential architectural sectors.
As project architect in a variety of large offices including RMJM, Richard Murphy Architects, Simpson & Brown Architects, Project Management Partnership, Clare set up her private practice in 2010 where her lengthy experience in managing complex projects, large budgets and clients’ needs has proved invaluable.
Combining practice and teaching, she taught architecture at Edinburgh College of Art and Interior Design at Napier University on a part-time basis, for over eight years.
‘The intellectual and imaginative stimulation in explorative teaching has undoubtedly fuelled my passion for practice and helped influence all my projects. The course I tutored was focused on the materiality of architecture – the phenomenology of materials, for which I still have a great love.’
Having enjoyed long, successful partnerships with other professionals in the construction industry, Clare Slifer Architects will introduce and advise on the appointment of Structural Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, Mechanical & Electrical Engineers and Contractors to ensure your project is professionally designed, managed and executed to its finest conclusion.
From renovations and extensions to new build, larger scale projects, Clare Slifer Architects will offer a full or partial architectural service to coordinate all aspects of the design and construction process, tailored to meet your individual needs.
