A B-Listed house in Musselburgh, St Michael’s Stables is a three bedroomed, ground floor villa with sunroom extension. 

Requiring  an entire renovation to achieve disabled accessibility, the works included the removal of large supporting walls to create an open plan living/kitchen/dining area and a new bespoke glazed screen to the historic stables.

The existing extension was almost entirely rebuilt with new glazed screens to provide a bright and cosy garden room with wood burner facing South.

On opening up (consistent with historic buildings) the cast iron beams supporting the roof to the stables were disintegrating and new 7m long beams were slotted in.
